About this Course
Internal Family Systems has transformed how we work with individuals, and it also offers a rich way of working with groups, especially interpersonal groups. In these groups, members meet one another in real relationships — bringing their parts into the open, learning to unblend, being received by other members, and practicing vulnerability, honest challenge, and intimacy as the work unfolds.
Over several decades, Jay Earley has developed an approach to bringing IFS into interactive group work, which he is now laying out in a forthcoming book. In this seven-week course, Jay will teach this approach, including norms that make a group interactive, group versions of core IFS processes, working with vulnerability, facilitating focused IFS work in a group, and working skillfully with conflict.
This course is designed for helping professionals who are familiar with IFS and want to work with it in groups. It is relevant whether you already lead groups or want to start one, and whether you want to weave IFS into your group work or make an existing IFS group more interactive. Participants will receive chapters from Jay’s upcoming book throughout the course.
